Far Infrared Lens - Far Infrared Transmitting Resin Aspheric Lens
We provide eco-friendly, user-friendly, high-precision far-infrared glass lenses.
Silicon (Si), used as a material for low-pixel area far-infrared lenses, has the challenge of poor workability. To address this, Konica Minolta offers resin-molded aspheric lenses that transmit far-infrared light. By adopting a Fresnel surface structure and making the lens thinner, we have managed to ensure optical performance while addressing the drawback of high absorption in the far-infrared region of the resin (patent pending). Additionally, we are developing unique resin materials to accommodate higher precision designs. Depending on specifications, we can also incorporate diffraction shapes for wavelength dispersion correction and anti-reflective structures (ARS) for reflection prevention, allowing us to handle design, processing, evaluation, and production all in-house.
